Goku continues to fight in the Tournament of Power in this week's episode of Dragon Ball Super. This week, he has to fight Kefla who is the fusion between Kale and Caulifa. Is this fusion even allowed?
Even though Goku is a Super Saiyan God, he is struggling against the power of Kefla. Kefla is dominating him and he does not seem to be able to fight back.
Beerus is angry that Potara fusion is even allowed. He thinks Champa and Universe 6 should get disqualified.
Alas, the pair of Zen-Ohs seem to love the new fusion form. Due to their enjoyment, The Grand Priest says that fusion is allowed.
Beerus is desperate and wants the Supreme Kai to give up his earrings so that Universe 7 can use fusion. The Supreme Kai refuses to budge.
Elsewhere in the tournament, other members of Universe 7 are fighting battles of their own.
Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta is having a bit of trouble with Toppo as he is caught in a bear hug. Piccolo and Gohan are still fending off the Universe 6 Namekians.
The Supreme Kai eventually allows Beerus to grab the Potara earrings. They are not sure who should use them yet though.
The Supreme Kai says Android 17 and 18 should use them. Beerus agrees since they are twins so they will be compatible with one another. The being will be called Android 35.
Whis however is unsure how successful this will be. Aside from gaining a new powerful fighter, the number of fighters in the team decreases. Therefore, Universe 7 will be down two fighters if Android 35 does not manage to make it very far in the tournament.
Beerus decides not to use fusion for the time being. It will be interesting to see if he changes his mind. An Ultra Instinct Goku fusing with a SSB Vegeta could be very powerful.
Meanwhile, Android 18 seems to have injured her leg during an explosion. Katopesla from Universe 3 is a bully and decides to pick on her while she is weakened.
Luckily, Android 17 comes to save the day. It's pretty cool how the androids are still in the tournament. I'm still hoping their fusion becomes a reality if Beerus changes his mind.
Anyway, the episode then goes back to Goku vs. Kefla.
Knowing that Super Saiyan God is no match for Kefla, Goku finally decides to turn into Super Saiyan Blue.
Goku feels that he shouldn't hold back his power any longer as Kefla is really strong. Kefla doesn't hold back either and powers up to become a Super Saiyan.
The fight is on and it is epic. The two are going really fast at one another and they appear to be of the same strength and speed.
It's worth mentioning Goku still hasn't recovered his energy from this fight from Jiren so he's still not 100 percent. Nevertheless, it's still shocking to see how powerful Kefla has become.
Goku finally gets the upper hand somewhat by using Super Saiyan Blue with the Kaio-ken. Kefla is knocked down and it looks like the fight might be over.
Kefla though still manages to fight and doesn't give up. The Saiyan blood in her is too strong for her to quit. Both Kefla and Goku love the thrill of battle.
The Kaio-ken is a stamina draining technique so time is not in Goku's favor. If he wants to win this fight, he will have to do it quickly.
Kefla manages to dodge a Kamehameha attack and kicks Goku in the head very hard. He is knocked out and turns back into his base form!
However, the fight is not over yet. Much like the Rage Art move in Tekken 7, Goku comes back stronger than ever by using Ultra Instinct again.
This is the brand new form that Goku used against his fight with Jiren. Kefla might have no chance to fight back.
The episode ends with Goku staring at the eyes of Kefla in the new Ultra Instinct form. It appears he can only attain this form when he really needs it.
I don't think he can power up to Ultra Instinct like his other forms yet. Things don't look good for Kefla as she might be defeated.
Anyway, episode 115 of Dragon Ball Super was awesome once again. I like the fact that this is a legit tournament giving us proper and serious fights. The past few weeks have not wasted time on gimmicks or too much comedy.
Not to mention this tournament has not been ruined by outside factors so far. I remember being disappointed when the World Tournament was ruined when the Saiyans left to fight Buu back in Dragon Ball Z. The Universe 6 vs. Universe 7 tournament was also ruined when both Goku and Hit quit so the weak Monaka won. It doesn't appear as if this tournament will have a weak finish.
Next week on Dragon Ball Super, it's Ultra Instinct Goku vs. Kefla.
However, even though this battle is going on Jiren takes notice once again. It looks like we don't have to wait too long for a Jiren vs. Goku rematch!
