Dragon Ball Super episode 113 is a Saiyan battle. It features Goku from Universe 7 going up against Caulifa of Universe 6. This should be an awesome fight since Goku rarely gets the chance to fight other full blooded Saiyans outside of Vegeta.

At the start of the episode, Goku is being ganged up by three of the robots from Universe 3. He doesn't have to lay a finger on them though because Caulifa gets rid of them.

Caulifa is at full strength now after getting a huge rest. She wants to test out her powers against the mighty Goku.

Since Universe 6 is without Hit and Cabba, Caulifa feels that she is now the leader of the team. She wants Goku to teach her to how become a Super Saiyan 3.

Goku agrees, but only if she is able to defeat him in a fight. Goku is still weakened from his fight with Jiren, so this battle is more evenly-matched.

Caulifa tries her best to strike Goku as many times as she can, but she cannot seem to land a hit. Goku is too fast even in his base form.

She still has a lot to learn if she is to become as strong as Goku.

As the fight rages on though, Caulifa starts to get better and is able to hit Goku with some strikes of her own. Caulifa urges Goku to transform so he turns into a Super Saiyan 2.

The Super Saiyan 2 Goku vs. Super Saiyan 2 Caulifa is excellent. The two trade blows with one another and they seem to be enjoying the fight themselves.

Caulifa rarely gets a chance to fight someone as strong as Goku so this is good training for her. Goku also enjoys the challenge as fighting is in his blood.

Not since the Buu saga in Dragon Ball Z have we seen a great Super Saiyan 2 fight. Back then Goku was facing up against Majin Vegeta.

Caulifa manages to best Goku in the fight by punching him really hard in the face. After that, Goku asks Kale if she wants to join in the fight as well.

Champa is happy, but Beerus is annoyed. After all, this is a tournament yet Goku is stacking the odds against his favor. Goku doesn't really care too much because he always loves to show off his powers with others.

Despite being a handicap match, Goku is still able to hold his own against both Caulifa and Kale. This is obviously not the hardest test in Goku's life so he is able to handle himself in this fight.

Goku finally transforms into Super Saiyan 3 in an awesome sight.

The transformation is not as epic as in Dragon Ball Z, but it's nice to see this form again. The last time we saw Super Saiyan 3 was the badly animated episode 5 of Dragon Ball Super!

Sadly, Goku is unable to keep the Super Saiyan 3 form for very long. He still lacks the stamina for it.

At the end of the episode, Kale goes back to her berserk "Broly Mode". Goku doesn't seem scared about the transformation and is ready for the challenge. Next week's episode will continue the fight between the Saiyan trio.

Overall, I thought this episode was excellent. We never got a chance to see female Saiyans before because most of them died out. It was cool to see both Caulifa and Kale being able to be competitive against Goku. The only part of this episode I didn't like is Krillin.

Krillin gets overly paranoid too many times in my opinion. He should know by now that Goku is "the chosen one" and always overcomes the odds.

The only time Krillin should get paranoid is when Jiren is fighting. Anyway, check back with us next week for another review and recap for Dragon Ball Super.
