Dragon Ball Super: Broly Opens Number One At The Box Office

After a successful release in Japan one month ago, Dragon Ball Super: Broly is out now in North America. The movie is so popular, it became the number one movie at the Box Office on its first day!

Dragon Ball Super: Broly broke a new record for the franchise by earning over $7 million in its first day. The movie opened on 1440 screens making an average of $5695 per screen.

The movie set a new record for Funimation Films since it eclipsed the $1.97 million opening that Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ for back in 2015. Comments from Funimation's CEO is posted below.

This strategy has paid off."

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is the newest movie from the famous Dragon Ball franchise. It finally adds Broly as a canonical character and we also get to know more about the origins of the Saiyan race.
