At the New York Comic Con event happening this weekend, a second trailer for the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie was revealed. After seeing a Japanese audio trailer, we now have an English dub version of it.

The English dub trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly shows the exact same things, although the characters obviously speak English.

There has been a lot of talk among the Dragon Ball fandom how this new trailer retcons the original Dragon Ball storyline.

For one thing, it shows Goku seeing Bardock and his mother saying good bye to them. In the original series, Goku never really saw his parents because he was too young to know anything.

The movie also retcons Vegeta's past and hints that Vegeta and Goku are the same age. This is another change because in the Dragon Ball Z manga it's stated that Vegeta is a few years older than Goku.

Anyway, the biggest thing about the movie is the fact that Broly will officially be canon in the Dragon Ball timeline. Before, the character just appeared in a non canonical movie that didn't fit in the official timeline.

It will be interesting to see what fans think of the movie with all these changes put into it. It's sure caused a lot of fans to feel confused, although the movie itself shouldn't disappoint.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly releases in Japan first on December 14th, 2018. After that, the movie will be released on January 16th, 2019 in various countries around the world. Check out the new trailer posted down below.
