Doctor Strange Crushes The Worldwide Box Office Before U.S. Release

It looks like Disney and Marvel's Doctor Strange is already a huge hit in the world despite not hitting theaters in the U.S. until the end of the week.

It does show plenty of promise for a huge U.S. debut, topping the October 30 box office worldwide.

"Disney/Marvel's 'Dr. Strange' conjured up spectacular international numbers earning an impressive $86.0 million a week ahead of its North American debut," comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented.

"Sony's 'Inferno' despite a second place finish in its North American opening this weekend has banked $147.7 million globally."

Meanwhile Tyler Perry's Boo! A Madea Halloween still tops the domestic box office stateside.
