The Disturbed cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence" isn't what you would expect from the band at all. The band performed the cover on the Conan show and it was pretty amazing.

"Sound of Silence" is one of the most popular Simon & Garfunkel songs in their discography and the Disturbed rendition of the song isn't what you would expect from the band that brought you songs like, "Down With the Sickness" and "Land of Confusion." In fact, the band's version of the song is rather haunting and builds up into a slightly symphonic dream.

The "Sound of Silence" cover is featured on the Immortalized album which was released in August of 2015. It does feature the dark and harsh delivery from lead singer David Draiman.

They are know for their aggressive in your face style of rock that has kept their loyal fan base wanting more from the bands emergence 1994.

Draiman still shows shades of that sound towards the epic end of the "Sounds of Silence" cover that overall takes on a whole new identity thanks to the wonders of Disturbed's sound.
