Sadly Carrie Fisher passed away late last year which saddened a lot of Star Wars fans all over the world.

Disney has now posted a new video tribute to her during this month's Star Wars Celebration event. Not only does it pay tribute to Fisher, but it also looks at how much inspiration the Princess Leia character had on everyone.

The video is both funny and heartwarming. It's humorous to see that over the years, Carrie Fisher became more confident with her celebrity status.

She would often joke with interviewers and she even brought her dog in the interviews too. We also get to see comments from the likes of J.J. Abrams, Mark Hamill and more.

Carrie Fisher also still had a good memory.

She was able to still recite all of the lines that she had to say as Princess Leia in the original trilogy. Most of her famous lines came from A New Hope with her message being sent to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

It's also worth mentioning that her legacy lives on for a new generation of Star Wars fans.

Many people both young and old still love to dress up as Princess Leia with the iconic buns in her hair. The John Williams score is also played throughout the video for a touching tribute.

It's sad that Carrie Fisher passed away before the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Episode IX. That being said, she already filmed all of her scenes for The Last Jedi.

Reportedly, she will still appear in Episode IX in some capacity with archival footage being used. Disney and Lucasfilm still say that they're refraining from using a CGI version of Carrie Fisher.

Anyway, you can look at the touching tribute video below. We'll have more Star Wars coverage this weekend with Star Wars Celebration currently taking place.
