When Havana and Washington restored their diplomatic ties, Cuba became even more of a destination for tourists.

This weekend Diplo and the Major Lazer team that brought us the hit song "Lean On," made history as they became the first major U.S. act to play in Cuba since the two countries restored diplomacy.

The Major Lazer and Diplo Instagram accounts documented the historic concert in Havana where 400,000 people showed up for the event according to the Major Lazer account.

Photos and video confirmed the huge gathering's truth as the beachside venue was incredibly packed with cheering fans.

The caption of the video below was a message to the people of Cuba and read:

"TO THE PEOPLE AND THE COUNTRY OF CUBA THANK YOU. WE HAVE BEEN HUMBLED BY YOUR LOVE @MUSICABANA @DIPLO @WALSHYFIRE @JILLIONAIRE @CALLHERHELEN @CALLMESAKIBOMB @SARABIV @QUEENFU @CAPTAINMCINNES."
