Comedian and former Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange made a slew of jokes about Cari Champion while watching ESPN's "First Take," much to the dismay of many news blogs including Buzzfeed.

"In a series of tweets, Lange described a sexual fantasy in which he's a slave owner and Champion is a slave," said Buzzfeed's Lyndsey Adler.

Most news outlets have scolded Lange for his series of seemingly racially charged tweets however, Lange clearly posted the tweets in jest. His tweets should to be taken for what he is known for, his comedy.

Lange is a comedian and he says that even his mom is disgusted with his tweets, however if he based his career off of his mother he'd be broke.

Though his tweets were very vulgar in nature the comedic context behind them shouldn't be over looked.

Lange said that he is a very big fan of "First Take" and he also apologized to Champion via Twitter, however, Lange says that he'd rather load trucks for a living than apologize to the PC groups ruining the country.

Due to his comments, he has been barred from an appearance on "@Midnight." Lange has apologized to the only person he needs to and that is Champion.

Lange called Champion beautiful and talented and told her that she would be alright despite his tweets. Lange defends his tweets as something that was blown out of proportion by the "PC groups."

ESPN's Statement: "His comments were reprehensible and no one should be subjected to such hateful language.

They objectify and demean one of our valued employees under the thin guise of "comedy" and are offensive to all of us. We will not dignify them with any other comment."
