It looks like Desiigner's "Panda" may have finally peaked as it drops from the number two spot to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. "Panda" relinquished the number two spot to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling."

After spending weeks behind Drake's "One Dance," Desiigner and his hit song "Panda" looks to be on a downward spiral.

The Billboard slide speaks to an argument that most hip-hop fans and critics were making when it was announced that Desiigner would be on the 2016 XXL Freshman list after only having one hit song.

Is Desiigner just a one-hit wonder? Or will he be able to release a track soon enough to keep the ball rolling in terms of his popularity and viral fame? According to The Fader, Desiigner previewed a new track on Instagram and if that is the next song, it might be wise for him to release it sooner rather than later.

We've seen artists take a slide after hit songs and while Kanye West has co-signed Desiigner, it may not be enough to keep him relevant.

The comparisons to Future also don't bode well for Desiigner as he now has the task of defining his own sound and distancing himself from any comparisons.

It's never easy for a rising artist who jumped out of the gate with a hit song, however, from a 2016 XXL Freshman, there are much higher expectations.
