Streaming services are everything these days as more and more people are cutting the cord, with services like Netflix and Hulu being the cream of the crop.

On top of these more broad streaming services, we're also seeing more and more niche services for specific types of companies or products.

There's CBS All Access, the Funimation App, and more more, and now DC is throwing their hat in the ring with the upcoming DC Universe streaming app.

DC announced awhile ago that they were going to be creating their own streaming app, which would house not only existing properties, but also new ones created just for the network.

The app was given the name of DC Universe a little while ago and now DC has given us a trailer for the app itself.

Sadly, this trailer does not give us any footage of any of the new series coming to the app like Titans, Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, or Young Justice: Outsiders, but it does flash their names up along the way to promote what will be included.

What we do get some clips of however are previous DC movies and such that will be included, such as live action offerings like Batman Returns and animated movies like Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.

The trailer also reveals that DC Universe will also have a selection of curated DC comics selected that you can view, similar to Marvel's comic subscription service.

We don't know how quality this selection will be at all though, so that's something we'll have to wait and see.

On top of the comics, there will also be exclusive DC merch that only subscribers to the app will be able to purchase, though we don't get to see much of that.

The app is slated to launch sometime this Fall, with a beta test starting in August that you can sign up for on the official website at DCUniverse.com.
