Last weekend, David Guetta kicked off his Las Vegas residency at XS Las Vegas. Guetta's residency at XS nightclub will be the celebrated DJ and producer's only nightlife residency in Las Vegas throughout the year of 2014.
"It's rare I get to play clubs these days. It's usually main-stage festivals or arenas," Guetta explained. "The only other place is Pacha, Ibiza.
I love the feeling playing to tens of thousands, but there is something really magical being so close to the crowd. Seeing the whites of their eyes; partying together.
The scene in Vegas is hot - and there was only one choice for me when choosing a residency: XS. It's gonna rock!"
The residency kicked off last Friday and will continue on March 14th, March 21st, March 26th, April 5th and April 12th with more dates to be announced shortly on www.xslasvegas.com.
"David is one of the most powerful brands overall in popular music today," said Jesse Waits, managing partner of XS and Tryst nightclubs.
"We have seen our largest crowds in XS history during his sets, and we can't wait to amplify the experience for his fans this year with more dates."
As dance music was in its infancy, Guetta was an impassioned teen with a vision to take electronic music from the underground and have it sit alongside other respected genres like rock and hip-hop. His tireless touring schedule from spinning in clubs to headlining stadiums and festivals across the globe, along with multi-platinum albums "One Love" and "Nothing but the Beat," has helped him to reach his dreams above and beyond what was ever expected.
Now Guetta is recognized as one of the top producers in the world and has also had major crossover success within multiple genres of music including hit compilations with The Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Rihanna, David Bowie, Kid Cudi and more.
He has had numerous tracks rise to the top of the charts from "Titanium" with Sia to "Turn Me On" with Nicki Minaj.
The combination of Guetta's presence and XS' reputation will only enhance the momentum of the residency.
The nightclub has captured the attention of admirers by combining luxury, style and unparalleled service, and continues to be a haven for jetsetters, celebrities and the elite.
Recognized worldwide, XS was dubbed "Las Vegas' dance music mecca" by MTV and recently named the #1 nightclub in the country for the fourth time on Nightclub & Bar's Top 100 list.
