Body shaming people is frowned upon in this day and age where social media is accessible to lots of people around the world.

Despite this, wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer, had a poor choice of words while describing current WWE Superstar Peyton Royce.

During Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Radio show, Meltzer said Peyton Royce was only attractive when she was wrestling back in NXT. He said Royce was "a lot lighter" earlier in her wrestling career hinting that she has gone fatter when she graduated to the main WWE roster.

Meltzer's poor choice of words caught the eye of Peyton Royce herself and she responded to the criticism on her own official Twitter account. You can see what she had to say posted down below.

"So what would you have me do Dave... starve myself? This is how nightmares for young women start. The females in your life must be proud."

Thankfully, Dave Meltzer immediately apologized to admit that he made a mistake. You can see his comments on Twitter below.

"I'd like to apologize to you (Peyton Royce). You are an exceedingly attractive woman. I do realize the lengths and pressures on women in the entertainment world to maintain unnatural looks at times and am glad you pointed this out. Again to everyone, I do want to apologize and I'm glad Peyton Royce sent her tweet because there was a valuable point there that we can all learn from. But yes, it is my mistake, not passing any bucks, nor making any excuses for it. I've learned and hope others can learn from MY mistake.

At least Meltzer was quick to own up to his own mistake and did not defend his poor choice of words. Hopefully more people can learn from this as criticizing someone's body publicly is never nice to do.
