Crossing Souls, the upcoming indie title for Fourattic, is nearing the end of its Kickstarter. With 13 days to go, the game has earned the site's "Staff Pick" award.

Crossing Souls is a game inspired by the classic Zelda games. The gameplay is from an overhead view, and the worlds look like warped versions of the 1980s.

Fourattic describes the title as, " an old-school action adventure with RPG touches"; you will have to battle an army and solve puzzles in order to avoid interplanetary war.

You will assume the role as a youth enjoying summer life. But an odd discovery in the wilderness ruins your goal for a mundane vacation from school .

"By uncovering an artifact whose powers they don't fully understand," Fourattic states on their game's official Kickstarter,"these remarkable kids will defy the laws of Nature and somehow interact between two planes of reality: life and death.

Their curiosity will trigger a series of unexpected events that will get them involved in a government conspiracy and a mysterious U.S Army general with his own nefarious plans."

This artifact, according to Fourattic, is called the DUAT stone. It allows the player to connect with alternate universes--specifically, the "death plane."

Crossing Souls will be released for PC, Mac, and Linux in 2015. For more about the upcoming title, visit Fourattic's official website here.
