Cory Booker Is Alright By Me

Born in 1969, he's just a kid.  But the junior Senator from New Jersey has it all.  If you can successfully manage the affairs of Newark, NJ, you've got talent--by most (but not all) accounts he did just that.

And another thing, Bruce Springsteen is also from New Jersey. 

Booker is very much a liberal on most issues, including single-payer healthcare, affirmative action, same-sex marriage, and so on.  He got his law degree from Yale, and received a Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford before that. 

He did say this, which is annoying, assumedly referring to Kamala Harris and/or Bernie Sanders:  “Now we have presidential candidates, senators, bragging about their pot use while there are kids who can’t get a job because they have a nonviolent offense for doing things that two of the last three presidents did.” 

But he also said this: "And so for me the lesson for that is life is positions and titles come and go.

All of us sitting here are going to have lots of different jobs, but I've just learned that the biggest thing you can do in any day still will most likely be a small act of kindness, decency and love."

Another solid candidate, especially in a side-by-side comparison with Lord Orange.
