Wake up is a four piece rock band from Lake Worth, Florida.

Their debut 7", 'Forever Home', is a three song collection of hook driven, feedback fraught alternative rock songs that pay homage to 90's guitar giants without resorting to the "grunge revival" to make their mark.

The release is their first on West Palm Beach's Decades Records (an au courant boutique label under the umbrella of the Frenchkiss Label Group) but you won't find any references to sand or surf here.

On 'Forever Home', wake up nod at patriarchs like Stephen Malkumus and Doug Martsch along their way, but this distinctive blend of memorable melodies and guitar work that doesn't quit is decidedly their own.

As Alex Rendon of the the Miami New Times put it, "wake up hones in on a chiming, hook-laden guitar-pop sound that will have savvy listeners thinking the group is a lesser-known act off influential New Zealand label Flying Nun Records.

The wistful melody sounds like mellower moments from Pavement records, and Mui's slight crackle on his delivery calls to mind Dinosaur Jr.' J Mascis' early days." - via Tell All Your Friends PR.
