Lorde Breaks Records and Reaches #1 on Billboard Charts

Lorde's hit single "Royals" is breaking records from left to right.

The song has reached #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart, and she is also the youngest to top this chart since 1987.

At the young age of 16, Lorde, from New Zealand has also gained the fame of being the longest #1 female artist in an alternative category at the top of the charts.

Billboard isn't the only chart that Lorde is making her way to the top of. She is gracing the presence of other charts such as iTunes, Alternative Song Charts and Amazon MP3. The recent release of her full length album "Pure Heroin" has also topped charts.

This month, Lorde has plans to perform on The Ellen Show, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America.

She was known to take New Zealand by storm a year ago, and is now doing the same with the rest of the world.
