Joel Robinson is a Canadian photographer that living and working in British Columbia.

Mixing unusual and whimsical places, his love of coffee and books, a vivid imagination and a remarkable knowledge of photo manipulation Robinson translates dreams into unique and atmospheric photography.

Working as an assistant teacher in a Canada and having never studied photography (for him it was just a hobby he developed after buying a reflex-lens five years ago) Coca-Cola noticed his work and the snowball was kicked off the mountaintop into an avalanche of success and accolades.

Robinson says that his work is inspired by the photos of noted Vogue photographer Tim Walker. Pivotal to his photos is the understated depth of the scene unfolding before the viewer.

His works showcase the photographer playing in a dreamlike world where preconceived notions of dimensional connections are turned on their head.

This world is a place where books are not just objects to read but become animated by the enormity of their contents.

One part Through The Looking Glass and the other Robinson's unique voice his photos surf the tension between reality and fantasy.
