Dinah Thorpe is a young and talented indie-folk and pop artist who has a brilliant and refreshing sound. Come this spring, Thorpe will be releasing her newest album titled 'Lullabies and Wake Up Calls'.

Thorpe has been compared to the similar musical sounds of Natalie Merchant, Beth Orton, Grace Jones, Feist, David Bowie - among many other talented professional artists.

She uses influences from a variety of different genres of music for her own work, including folk, trip hop and even blues to create her unique indie-folk sound.

This lovely artist has gained raving reviews and was nominated for a 2012 Juno Award. She also was nominated for an Independent Music Award for her last collection of songs, '12' in the Folk Singer/Songwriter category.

The newest upcoming release from Dinah Thorpe will be her third full length album, and will come as a two-disc album.

The first disc will feature slower and more intimate tracks, while the second will feature louder and more upbeat tracks, creating what Thorpe has described as "a beautiful contradiction".

'Lullabies and Wake Up Calls' will be available April 15th, but in the meantime, be sure to check out the video for her single "Hold a Place" at www.vimeo.com/m/74776429 as a preview to what the album will have to offer to fans and listeners.
