The Chainsmokers And Halsey's 'Closer' Grab The Number One Spot On Billboard's Hot 100

After just four weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, The Chainsmokers and Halsey's hit song "Closer" takes the number one spot. The move pushes Major Lazer and Justin Bieber's "Cold Water" back one spot.

"The Chainsmokers and featured artist Halsey top the Billboard Hot 100 (dated Sept. 17) for a third week with 'Closer,' according to Billboard.

"The song makes gains following the acts' performance of it at the MTV Video Music Awards, broadcast live on the network from Madison Square Garden in New York on Aug. 28."

It's the battle of the EDM/pop crossovers as this new genre mashup has spurred plenty of hits and chart toppers.

The Chainsmokers and Halsey teamed up for quite the performance at the 2016 MTV VMA's and had the crowd vibing along to the beachy track.

The production on "Closer" lends itselt well to a breezy day with that special someone and according to their spot on the charts, everyone is feeling the love.
