A coroner's report has been revealed today giving us more details as to why Carrie Fisher sadly passed away last December.

The main cause was because of sleep apnea, although several other factors may have been responsible for her death too.

As reported by Deadline, the Los Angeles County coroner's office said she died by sleep apnea but some other reasons may have been the cause.

If you don't know what sleep apnea is, it's a condition where people find it hard to breathe while they are falling asleep.

The report also mentioned that there was a lot of fatty tissue in her arteries and that she may have been taking multiple prescription drugs.

Fisher had been suffering from mental health for a very long time so she had to take pills in order to manage her condition.

That being said, it's said that Fisher may have passed away earlier if she didn't seek help beforehand and took the prescription drugs in the first place.

It's unfortunate that she died, but at least she was able to make people smile due to all of the movies she made. Obviously many Star Wars fans loved her due to her playing Princess Leia.

One of Fisher's last roles can be seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Fisher managed to film all of her scenes before her untimely death.

There will be a lot of fans watching the movie to see her perform on the big screen for the very last time.

Sadly, she was unable to film anything for Star Wars: Episode IX. They have had to rewrite the script for Star Wars: Episode IX since they are not going to use a CGI version of Fisher as a stand-in.
