More details have been revealed regarding the new Venom movie that will be out next October.

An interesting new revelation about the film is that we may see the debut for the popular Carnage character. People have been wanting him to appear in a live action movie ever since he got created.

This new report comes courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter. It just notes that Venom will star Tom Hardy and that Carnage is also set to appear.

Unlike other comic book characters, Carnage is a relatively new creation as he made his debut in The Amazing Spider-Man comic book back in 1991.

He wasn't created back in the '60s like some of the other villains in Spider-Man's history.

Carnage (aka Cletus Kasady) is a serial killer and was born thanks to Venom's suit shedding to create another symbiote.

This new symbiote was red and it pretty much made Kasady even more dangerous than Venom.

He has since been one of the most popular villains in Spider-Man history, but sadly Hollywood never had a chance to make a movie about him until now.

Since Tom Hardy is poised to play Eddie Brock/Venom, it's possible the role of Carnage will go to someone that is also a little older than Tom Holland. The role of Carnage will not be convincing if they went and casted someone as young as Holland.

Not to mention Carnage's role in the movie could re-confirm that the movie will be rated R. Rated R movies have been successful for 20th Century Fox as both Deadpool and Logan benefited from it.

The Venom movie will be out on October 5th, 2018.

Filming for the movie is scheduled to take place sometime later this year, so we may not see the first trailer until the early part of 2018.

Hopefully more details about the film are announced soon at the San Diego Comic Con event.
