Much of the internet already knows a bit of the background on 16-year-old Calysta Bevier, or Caly as she is referred to by friends family and Ellen DeGeneres.

During her visit to the Ellen DeGeneres show, Caly was surprised with the opportunity to sing alongside Rachel Platten, the artist famous for her hit "Fight Song."

16-year-old Caly was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when she was 15 and had the opportunity to tell her story during her interview with DeGeneres. While she and her family were on vacation, her mother noticed a lump in her stomach.

The lump turned out to be a five-pound tumor which was later on tested and revealed to be cancerous. Caly went through chemotherapy and is now in remission according to DeGeneres.

DeGeneres and Caly began to discuss the significance that "Fight Song" had while she was going through chemotherapy. Caly said that "Fight Song" is great for anyone that is going through any type of struggle.

DeGeneres confirmed that the song is very powerful and followed her words up by surprising Caly with a visit from Rachel Platten, the original singer of "Fight Song." Caly thought she was invited to perform the "Fight Song" alone but Platten stepped in as the two brought audience members to tears with their duet.
