After weeks of teasing, former Disney star Bridgit Mendler released her latest single, titled "Atlantis" today, one day before it was officially said to be released.

Bridgit Mendler, who was best known for playing the older sister, Teddy Duncan, on tv's Good Luck Charlie, posted the single online minutes ago.

"Atlantis" is a collaboration between Bridgit Mendler and 19-year old artist Kayido.

The track is a departure from the standard pop fare of former Disney stars, having a bit of a techno-feel. Kayido adds an interesting dimension to "Atlantis" as well.

Bridgit Mendler described how "Atlantis" came about:

After her first, more mainstream pop album went platinum, Bridgit Mendler tweeted "All I ever wanted was to make music I could be proud of," according to Idolator.

She seems to be looking to do that with "Atlantis" and this new record.

Bridgit Mendler has been rumored to be working on the record with several industry heavyweights, including Julia Michaels, Jesse Shatkin, and Jason Evigan.
