After disappointing results in June, July is set to re-ignite the Summer blockbuster season.

Predictions have been made for the openings for both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk. Can both films manage to get people into the movie theaters again?

As reported by Deadline, Spider-Man: Homecoming is projected to get a worldwide Box Office opening of $190 million to $210 million.

The number could have been higher, but the film has yet to come out in countries such as Japan, China, France and more. The movie is only coming out in 60 percent of overseas markets this weekend.

The $210 million weekend includes the projected $100 million that the movie could make in North America. It's hard to predict how well the movie could do as there are both positives and negative to take into account. The reviews and word of mouth for the movie have been great so that's definitely a plus.

The negative side might be due to franchise fatigue. This is the sixth Spider-Man film in 15 years and is the third iteration of the character. Despite Marvel being involved, some people might be getting bored of the character altogether.

The other big film coming out in July is Dunkirk directed by Christopher Nolan. Nolan is one of the few directors in Hollywood today that is a draw card.

This is thanks to him directing films such as The Dark Knight, Inception and Interstellar. No matter what movie he makes, his fans go out to watch his movies.

According to Variety, Dunkirk may be Nolan's lowest Box Office opening since The Prestige back in 2006.

Dunkirk is currently projected to have a North American opening of $30 to $40 million. This is mainly because there isn't a major star attached to the movie, and war films aren't as popular as they used to be.

Not to mention there is still a lot of competition in July for the film too.

However, the movie could get a higher opening if reviews are great. Being that this film is set in World War II, there's a good chance that critics will love the movie.
