We are in the first week of July, but the new releases were still unable to get more money than the big blockbuster movies.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is still on top while The Incredibles 2 holds on to the runner-up position this weekend at the Box Office.

As reported by Box Office Mojo, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom dropped around 59 percent from last week earning an estimated $60 million in its second weekend at the Box Office.

The domestic total for the sequel now stands at $265 million. From a worldwide point of view, the movie has now earned over $932.4 million and should pass over $1 billion when it comes out later this month in Japan.

Another crowd pleasing movie is Disney and Pixar's release of The Incredibles 2. In its third weekend, the movie grossed $45.5 million with a domestic tally of $439.7 million.

There's a strong chance the film can gross over $500 million domestically by the end of its run. Globally, the movie has grossed $646.8 million so it's another profitable film by Disney.

The pair of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and The Incredibles 2 managed to beat out this week's new releases of Sicario: Day of the Soldado and Uncle Drew.

That said, the smaller movies opened decently since their budget is not as big.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado only cost $35 million to make and managed to take $19 million in its opening weekend. The movie should be able to make over $50 million and will cater to audiences over the age of 25.

As for Uncle Drew, the basketball movie grossed $15.5 million in its opening weekend. Uncle Drew received a Cinemascore of an "A" grade so this means word of mouth should be strong in the weeks to come.
