Smashing Pumpkins' frontman, Billy Corgan, has taken on yet another enterprise.

In the past few years, Corgan has published a book of poetry, recorded a new album, performed and taped an experimental eight-hour synth jam set to Herman Hesse's "Siddhartha," and opened a tea shop in Chicago.

Now, he is developing an unscripted series for AMC, according to Variety magazine. What is it about, you ask? Why, pro-wrestling, naturally.

Apparently, Corgan helped start up an independent wrestling company called Resistance Pro back in 2011.

Since then, he has been trying to find ways to bring this new passion to light, even if that means shooting a ridiculous furniture store ad to promote it (proof here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESMCx0KNVkw).

Here is the description of the show, referred to as "Untitled Billy Corgan Wrestling Project," via AMC's development slate:

"Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan pulls back the curtains on the pro-wrestling world as he takes over creative direction for the independent wrestling company Resistance Pro."

Hmm. Whether or not the show will actually get picked up is hard to say. While we certainly admire the man his enthusiasm, we're not quite sure how to feel about this.
