A lot of dream matches are no longer possible in the WWE with many older past wrestlers way too old to get back in the ring.

That said, there are still some big matches that have yet to happen that should occur in 2018.

This list will try and be as realistic as possible judging by current circumstances.

Sure it will be great to see CM Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin inside the squared circle again, but we all know that's unlikely to happen.

Without further ado, here is our list of dream matches that could still occur in the WWE in 2018.

AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura: Styles and Nakamura had an excellent match in 2016 in New Japan and now the two wrestlers are on the same show as both of them are on Smackdown Live.

Many people are hoping these two face each other at WrestleMania 34 for the WWE Title.

Preferably, the match should be against two babyfaces going at it to see who is the best wrestler on Smackdown Live.

Not to mention making Nakamura the 2018 Royal Rumble winner will further solidify the Japanese wrestler as a big international star.

John Cena vs Undertaker: I understand that this match should have happened at WrestleMania 27 or 30, but this match needs to happen before Undertaker is officially retired.

It's bewildering to me that after 15 years, these two have never faced each other in a significant one-on-one match at WrestleMania or any other big PPV. The only PPV I remember the two tangled was Vengeance 2003.

However, that 2003 match wasn't a big deal because Cena didn't become a main event star until 2005.

It's kind of disappointing the Undertaker's streak is over, but he deserves a better sendoff against Cena because his match with Roman Reigns last year was slow and boring.

Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair: With Ronda Rousey rumored to have ended her MMA career, she is now looking towards the future as she has been training to become a professional wrestler.

Rousey is a huge WWE fan and has been training for a potential match in the future.

The best women's wrestler that could give her a good go is Charlotte Flair. I was thinking about Asuka, although I'd prefer if Asuka's winning streak stays intact for the time being.

This could be a big enough match to main event any big PPV in 2018 if it happens. If this does not happen, there's another match that could occur instead.

Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir, Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke: Preferably, this match should happen at Survivor Series as the team aspect will be more intriguing.

WWE's Four Horsewomen vs MMA's Four Horsewomen could be an epic encounter and one of the best female feuds of 2018. Hopefully everyone is available in 2018 to make this match happen.

The Shield vs The Club: The Shield reunion has been kind of ruined thanks to injuries and outside factors. First it was Roman Reigns getting sick and now Dean Ambrose is injured.

Before The Shield breaks up for a second time, they need to have at least one more awesome tag-team match in my opinion. Finn Balor is doing nothing so WWE should pair him up with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

We had The Wyatt Family vs The Shield a few years ago and it was awesome. WWE should do something similar with The Shield and The Club while they have the chance with all men on the same Raw roster.

John Cena vs Samoa Joe: This match has been dreamt by fans for many years, but it never materialized because Samoa Joe was in TNA/Impact Wrestling for over a decade.

Well now it can happen with both men now in WWE.

Before both men found success in the professional wrestling business, they were both a part of a small promotion called Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW).

I remember seeing an old documentary on UPW and both of them looked very young and green at the time.

Now the two are established stars and WWE can use their real life history into an epic feud. Joe needs to become bigger in 2018 because 2017 was kind of hampered thanks to Brock Lesnar hogging the Universal Title.

Honorable mentions: This is just some of the big matches I'd like to see in 2018.

There are lots of other potential matches that could happen because I am missing a lot of names.

I'd also like to see Randy Orton vs AJ Styles in a proper feud this time or even Randy Orton vs Samoa Joe or Finn Balor in the future.

I'd also love to see Roman Reigns vs The Rock, but that might never happen thanks to The Rock's busy movie schedule.

Batista vs Brock Lesnar is also a match that I've always wanted to see, but the timing was never right.

Daniel Bryan is expected to wrestle again once his WWE contract is up later this year.

It would be cool if he wrestled Kurt Angle in the future, although this all depends if WWE doctors allow Bryan to wrestle. If not, Bryan will take his talents to New Japan or ROH instead.
