Hip-hop fans should be happy to know that Big K.R.I.T. has officially kicked off his 12 For 12 Freestyle series with a freestyle over ScHoolboy Q's "That Part."
Pulling inspiration from ESPN's 30 For 30 docu-series, Big K.R.I.T. starts his own hip-hop version that is tastefully done with freestyles. His 12 For 12 freestyle series kicked off with a fiery verse over ScHoolboy Q and Kanye West's "That Part." K.R.I.T. completely rips the verse and starts off his series in a very big way. The bouncy freestyle is playful yet eye-opening.
The "That Part" 12 For 12 Freestyle comes with a John Stockton single art which is yet another nod to ESPN. It will be interesting to see how he continues to release the freestyles and what artwork he chooses to accompany it. Funny enough the "That Part" 12 For 12 freestyles and those that follow come at a very intense time in NBA free agency.
However, K.R.I.T. is clearly all about his music and craft as he doesn't really add any sports references.
You can expect the next 12 For 12 Freestyle around 1PM. We'll continue to update the page as they come so stay tuned for the rest if the series. In the meantime, you can check out the first freestyle "That Part" in the audio below.
