Between the Buried and Me, the progressive metal band from North Carolina, dropped a teaser video for their upcoming tour with Animals as Leaders and The Contortionist.

The video shows clips of each band playing live. If you are familiar with any of the three bands, it will likely be a night filled with gonzo musicianship; Between the Buried and Me continues to push the limits of sonic art, while Tosin Abasi--the guitarist for Animals as Leaders--is one of the world's best guitar players. Finally, The Contortionist is less flashy than the other two bands, but they make up for it with droning arrangements and constant shifts in tone.

You could be listening to an ambient progressive song one minute, and a blasting metal verse the next. This makes them ideal to tour with Between the Buried and Me.

Between the Buried and Me will release Coma Ecliptic in July. It is their first studio album since 2012, when they released The Parallax II: Future Sequence.

Two songs from their upcoming record have already been released, and they continue the band's trend for virtuosity and abstract lyrics.

In addition, a video for one of their new songs, "The Coma Machine," has been released.

It is early in the main character's story, where he experiences past lives in every track--seeking peace.

In addition to this, lead singer Tommy Rogers told Billboard magazine that the story is a "coma within a coma with in a coma."

Prog fans, the wait is almost over. Next month, Coma Ecliptic will launch, and a tour in promotion of the record will kick off in Georgia. For more about Between the Buried and Me, visit the band's official website here.
