Arrested Development seemed like it was living up to its name when Fox disappointingly canceled it after only three seasons, but fans were ecstatic when the show managed to get a fourth season via Netflix in 2013.

There has been talk of a fifth season for a long time and after being confirmed back in May as coming, the show appears to be starting up production.

The reception for the fourth season of Arrested Development was rather mixed, though it definitely picked up in the later episodes.

A big reason for this was due to the fact that rarely were more than a couple of the characters together, which was as a result of the busy filming schedules of the cast.

This has also been why the wait for a fifth season has been so long, with much of the cast staying very busy with their projects.

Thankfully, it appears they are trying to get everyone together for a more cohesive season, which is starting up now.

This news comes courtesy of series star Jason Bateman, who posted the following to his Twitter.

Here comes trouble. The Bluths move back in on the 8th.

The image he attached to his tweet showed the Bluth apartment slowly coming together, with plastic still on some of the furniture.

The more important part was the "The Bluths move back in on the 8th" part, which seems to signify that production will begin on August 8.

We really don't know too much about the upcoming fifth season other than it will feature a murder mystery around Lucille 2 that we saw was found dead in the finale of season four.

A previous rumor stated that a lot of the season would actually be done in prequel format with younger versions of the actors, but hopefully that will be only a small part if it is indeed true.

Arrested Development's fifth season has no set release date yet, but it's supposed to be coming sometime in 2018.
