American teen actress Ariel Winter, is most commonly know for her role as Alex Dunphy on Modern Family. Winter's passion for acting has been with her in her younger days as well.

"Ariel always wanted to act," according to IMDb.

"She can remember wanting to enter the TV set and actually explore Dora the Explorer (2000)." According to IMDb, once Ariel's mother noticed her talent and how passionate she was, she quickly took to researching to find an agent for her enthusiastic daughter.

Ariel's lovable personality and dynamic ability as an actress also show through her role as "Ellie Layton" in One Missed Call, a horror film, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and "Trixie" from Warner Bros. Speed Racer.

Ariel's growing resume also includes roles in ER and she also provides the voice for "Gretchen" and additional voice overs from the hit Disney movie Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension.

"My life has definitely changed since 'Modern Family.' The show has made me more responsible, I really want to be a good role model for all kids so I have to think about what I say and do and how it looks to other kids," says Winter in a quote from IMDb.

Winter is clearly conscious that being a young actress she has the ability to affect many young girls from her generation and those younger than her as well.

She also has a band with her best friend called "Wicked Sweet," and has recently covered Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Recently Winter has been struggling with court cases involving her mother who was relinquished of custody in 2012 due to claims of physical and emotional abuse as reported by TMZ. Despite the recent court battles, as an actress and a singer, Winter is sure to be a young celebrity to watch for the future and has the ability to tip the popularity scale as someone like a Selena Gomez.
