Anthony Cumia Visits Big O And Dukes

As he prepares for the launch of his new show exiled Opie and Anthony co-host Anthony Cumia stopped by the Big O and Dukes show to talk about The Anthony Cumia show, which premieres August 4.

The hosts discussed their shared radio history with Cumia as well as plans for his new show.

"As I was doing radio on SiriusXM I was constantly building a studio in my basement," Cumia said. "It was kind of like Noah's Ark -- I knew a storm was coming."

Cumia detailed how and why he built his home studio explaining that since he had been fired before he knew something was eventually likely to happen. The studio -- a full HD TV setup was build over years.

The once and future host commented on his firing.

"It was astounding," Cumia said. "For how jaded I've become it's amazing how naive I really was.

I thought I was impervious.

I had talked about the exact issues that got me fired on the show ad nauseum...I thought we had a forum where we could talk open and honestly...I had said so many things worse than that and this is what did it?."
