If you're looking to make extra money, you might want to make an eBay account and invest in a defective amiibo. The figurines inspired by Super Smash Bros. have another member to join their island of misfits.

A Luigi amiibo with no arms has surfaced on eBay, according to Gamespot. After 23 bids, the figure has already reached ?97.00, which is equal to $157. 72. The price for a regular amiibo averages at 13 dollars. The auction will last until December 25.

The seller on eBay claims that the figure is factory sealed--meaning that he or she didn't tamper with it in order to increase its value.

Last week, a Peach amiibo with no legs sold for over $25,000. In addition, a Samus figure with two arm cannons sold for $2,500.

The reason for the high-selling prices is due to the figures' rarity, an anonymous source told Gamespot. And the extra money for the seller is always beneficial.

Super Smash Bros. has received rave reviews. The game currently holds a score of 92 on Metacritic.

And critics have stated that the title can appeal to gamers who hate fighting games. It is the first title in the famed franchise since Brawl for the Wii in 2008.
