Angry fanboys are something all movie studios have to deal with as you cannot please everyone in life.

That said, some Marvel fans are angry over the Sony Venom movie and they plan to boycott the film as they hope it does not become a surprise hit.

As reported by FortressofSolitude, a boycott of the Sony Venom movie has originated on Deviant Art. This is mainly because Facebook has been shutting down boycott pages so this is why Deviant Art was chosen.

Anyway, the main reason this person wants to boycott the Venom movie is because he's scared that Sony is once again going to take away Spider-Man from the MCU. Fans have wanted for years for Spider-Man and his many characters to join the MCU and this happened thankfully.

However, there are rumors that Spider-Man could leave the MCU after the Homecoming sequel releases in 2019 and fans don't want to see the character go back exclusively to Sony.

This person hopes the Venom movie fails so that Sony does not get any grand ideas to start up its own comic book universe again.

Sony has been keeping very quiet if Venom is even related to Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man.

It's rumored Tom Holland could be making an appearance in the film as Peter Parker, although these reports are not officially confirmed as of yet.

I for one hope Spider-Man and his many characters are able to stay in the MCU. I still think Homecoming is the best portrayal of the Spider-Man character to date and it would be sad to see that version of the character leave after 2019.

For now, all we can do is wait and see if this Venom movie is good or not. It's hard to tell how good it will be since the first teaser trailer showed nothing exciting.

Anyway, Venom releases in North America on October 5th, 2018. The movie stars Tom Hardy as the main character of Eddie Brock/Venom.
