The Billboard Emerging Artists Chart is heating up once again this week as newcomers Allen Stone and Unknown Mortal Orchestra join Years and Years and Galantis as the artists rounding out the top four spots.

Allen Stone's "Freedom" sits at the top of Billboard's Emerging Artists Chart at the time of this article's publishing. The song is a soulful outburst mixed with a little pop sound that breaks away from the new wave sound heard in today's music.

"Freedom" is one of the tracks featured on Stone's recently released album "Radius." "Radius" is the third full-length album from Stone and it's one that's deeply rooted in old school soul exploration.

"Culled from several dozen songs penned through a year and a half of constant writing and refining, 'Radius' bears a title that reflects both its scope and intimacy," according to Stone's main page.

The album itself is a soul fans heaven from silky smooth tones to wildly funky tracks, "Radius" is one hell of an album in it's entirety.

The second spot on the charts today belongs to Years and Years with their song "King." At this point Years and Years might as well have a permanent spot on the list because they've managed to appear in the top five almost every week. The radio ready hit, "King" is one of the singles of their EP that hit the ground running upon it's release. The band has broken into radio play with pop hits that are sprinkled with a bit of EDM to set it off.

It's been pretty impressive to see them on the rise and at the top for so long.

"King" has already peaked at number one so it's just icing on the cake to still be in the top five months after the release.

Yesterday Galantis' "Runaway" got a wild and unexpected remix by DJ Mustard. While the song has peaked at number one the added boost could come from the high energy remix that surfaced yesterday.

Like many EDM hits, other DJ's are taking their own crack at remixing it.

Like Years and Years, Galantis hasn't seemed to slip too far from the top spot over the last couple of weeks and with more remixes surfacing, it's not scary to think they could be there for another month or so.

The Unknown Mortal Orchestra rounds out the top four spots with their song "Multi-Love." The track has also been a previous feature in the Billboard Emerging Artists top five and peaked at number one. The psychedelic sound of "Multi-Love" was paired with the perfect music video to match.

Depicted in the music video is a series out out of this world and trippy images.

It's reminiscent of an old school trip from the 70's which can also be used to describe the overall sound and contents of the song.
