In a recent article, we looked the net worth of Harry Potter, the main character in the Harry Potter series. After crunching some numbers and intense Galleon-to-USD conversions, we came to the conclusion of a $4.6 billion net worth. Go, Harry.

Now, we are going to take a stab at the net worth of Albus Dumbledore, former headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In her novels, J.K. Rowling didn't mention Dumbeldore's fortune, but we can assume that it is indeed very large. After sifting through his jobs and accomplishments, it's unfortunate to share, however, that Dumbledore's net worth didn't match up to Harry's. Talk about "riddikulus."

So, what is Dumbledore's net worth, you ask? Around $2.1 million. Here's the breakdown.

Before his tragic death in The Half-Blood Prince, Albus Dumbledore had a pretty lengthy resume going on. His primary job, aside from being the most badass wizard to walk the planet (sorry, Gandalf), was being the Headmaster of Hogwarts. The school, located somewhere in Scotland, can be compared to the Loretto School in Edinburgh. As a private school headmaster, the average salary ranges from $200,000-400,000 per year.

Being a wizard of high regard, it is safe to assume that his salary met the $400,000 range. That means that as Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore made 83,164 Galleons, 5 Sickles and 3 Knuts per year. Not a bad salary.

His net worth, however, doesn't stop there. During his life, Dumbledore also held the title as Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards. According to the Harry Potter Wikipedia site, the International Confederation of Wizards is equivalent to the United Nations, and the Secretary-General stands as the equivalent to Supreme Mugwump.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon's net worth is an estimated $1.5 million, or 311,866 Galleons 2 Sickles and 4 Knuts. Not too shabby, Dumbledore.

Dumbledore was also the Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, which is equivalent to Britain's highest court of law, according to the Harry Potter Wikipedia page. This would make his job equivalent to the President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury who makes a salary $240,508.30.

So Dumbledore racks in another 50,005 Galleons 3 Sickles and 11 Knuts.

Phew. Talk about making a living. After all of his hard work in the wizarding world, Albus Dumbledore had a net worth of $2,140,508.30 (445,034 Galleons 11 Sickles and 20 Knuts). That's a fair salary for someone who helped stop two wizarding wars. If we look at Dumbledore's history, it is indeed impressive.

In 1945, Dumbledore was awarded the Order of Merlin, First Class for defeating Gellert Grindelwald. Winning the Order of Merlin is equivalent to winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

In the books, however, there is no monetary value to winning the Order of Merlin; just a lot of pride. Not to mention that Dumbledore possessed the Dealthy Hallows at one point, making him the Master of Death.

As Kingsley Shacklebot once said: "You many not like him, Minister, but you can't deny. Dumbledore's got style."
