Album Review: Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J and TM88's 'TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening'

It's going to be fairly easy to review Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa and TM88's TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening because if you love what the Taylor Gang stands for, then you will love everything about this album.

TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening is a collaborative effort between Taylor Gang general Wiz Khalifa, hype master, rapper and producer Juicy J and producer TM88.

It finds Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa at the top of their lyrical games and TM88 showing why he is a go-to producer for many artists.

Juicy J does the honor of introducing the project to fans in the "TGOD Mafia Intro."

TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening kicks into gear with "Da Power" which happens to be a trap ready braggadocios track about getting money, women and smoking up a lot of weed. It's a sentiment that carries on throughout the entire album.

The single, "All Night" is also featured on the album and seems to be the fan favorite according to its iTunes rating. This album does not contain one slow track, it is just bursting with energy all the way through.

That being said, the track that seems to have the most impact is the final track off the 16-song album titled, "Cell Ready." The hardcore verses on "Cell Ready" are accentuated by the back and forth delivery from Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J who really seem to compliment each other's flows perfectly.

Throughout every track on TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening, it is easy to see that plenty of hard work went into this project.

Overall, TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening can be broken down to three parts: Juicy J's verses, Wiz Khalifa's verses and TM88's production.

Each of these three parts were perfectly executed making the complete project and overall success for trap loving fans who yearn for bouncy production and the unique delivery that goes along with it.
