Wonder Woman released nearly two months ago to stellar reviews and has shown strong legs in the box office since.

The movie was the first major female led and directed superhero film and now the actress of one of Marvel's strongest female characters has weighed in on the film.

Former Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell was at the Television Critics Association press tour to promote her upcoming mini-series on Starz titled Howard's End.

During this time, Buzzfeed News Journalist Jarett Wieselman got a chance to speak with Atwell, in which he asked her thoughts about Wonder Woman that he shared on his Twitter.

"I thought it was a triumph. I came out of that walking on air, and I think what's brilliant about is, it's a genre piece, it's a superhero movie. It's pitch-perfect from Gal's performance to the script to the music, it has just the right amount of tongue in cheek humor, it's engaging, and I was so surprised by the end of it. I thought, Here we go! 76 years in the making that's breaking box office records and it's led by a woman and it's directed by a woman - I was like, 'Patty! F***ing! Jenkins! YESSS!' And what it means for all of us because it's not just women are great; it's going, come on, let's represent who we really are as women. They did it beautifully. Not only did they pull it off, they just were like, Boom! They excelled."

The Marvel and DC sides have shown a lot of love for each other in recent times, most recently seen at Comic-Con with both DC's Geoff Johns and Marvel's Kevin Feige being together in videos.

Atwell was the perfect person to ask about Wonder Woman too, as not only has she portrayed a strong female character, but also been in period pieces with both Captain America: The First Avenger and Agent Carter.

Too bad we could never see these two amazing characters on screen together due to being with different companies.

Regardless, it sounds like Atwell is definitely up for more Wonder Woman, which we will be seeing in Justice League later this year and the just dated Wonder Woman 2 for 2019.
