Maroon 5 frontman and one of the judges of NBC's The Voice, Adam Levine, stopped by the Howard Stern SiriusXM radio show to clear up some rumors regarding the Super Bowl 50 halftime show and also get fans up to date on what's going on with him.

There have been a flurry of reports stating that Levine and his bandmates of Maroon 5 are in "extensive talks" for performing the Super Bowl 50 halftime show.

"I like the fact that we can talk about, because I think the band would be like thrilled to do it," Levine said to Stern during his visit.

"But as far as where the rumors came from, that had nothing to do with any real conversations."

Levine said he had no idea where the reports were coming from but did leave some sign of hope for Maroon 5 fans who want to see their favorite band perform at Super Bowl 50.

According to Levine, he is on a short list of acts who are in the running for the job, however, no one has been in talks about.

Meanwhile, Levine told Stern that his bandmates were skeptical of him doing The Voice but they were angry with him for doing it and they were supportive.

"Robin asked if there were rehearsals. Adam said there weren't. He said they just got in the chairs and did it," according to MarksFriggin.

"Howard asked if he thought it was a waste of his time. Adam said he had a defiant attitude that no one was going to be any good. He said he wasn't sure how it was going to work out."

Levine also addressed a lot of the hate he got for shaving his head and even said that a woman on the street told him never to shave his head again.

He also told Stern that he and his wife, Behati Prinsloo are thinking about having kids and he thinks it could be sometime soon. Prinsloo has been quoted saying that she thought Levine was a nerd when they first met.

As for whether or not the band would be interested in performing at Super Bowl 50, Levine said they would be thrilled to perform the show. Stern was interested in whether or not CBS would play a political game in terms of supporting Levine, who happens to be a star on the NBC network.

Levine didn't seem to know whether or not that would be an issue either.
