It was question time with Matthew Daddario on Twitter.

Daddario is playing Alec Lightwood in the new ABC Family television series "Shadowhunters." The show is an adaptation of the popular book series "The Mortal Instruments" by Cassandra Clare.

Now, like any question and answer on twitter, about half of the question were related to the upcoming show. One person asked how many seasons Daddario wished for the show. He answered 6, but should have added at least.

Daddario also gave some insight to his character, Alec Lightwood. His character is friends with Jace and brother to Izzy. He's already a part of the shadowhunter worl, unlike the show's main character, Clary Fray.

Other than that, Daddario has fun with the other questions related to his character.

There's a reference to Daddario's sister Alexandra Daddario in the form of a "Percy Jackson" question.

"Shadowhunters" won't be on until 2016, but ABC Family has been teasing the show since the movie adaptaion of the same book series, "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," failed.

Suppose ABC Family believes they can create something better. And the plot line seems to be following the books, but so did the movie.

"Clary Fray is just an ordinary teenage girl living in Brooklyn. But everything changes when she witnesses a shocking murder and encounters the witty yet charming Jace Wayland, who introduces her to the Downworld.

The world of Shadowhunters, Faeries, Vampires, Werewolves, Warlocks and more mystical creatures. Clary will go to any cost to save the Mundane World from the great threat of Valentine."
