WWE WrestleMania 34 was on and it was a mixed show overall. Some matches impressed, but the latter end of the show fell flat on its face.

Let's first start talking about the pre-show matches. Matt Hardy won the first match of the night which was the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

The match itself was average, but it was cool to see Bray Wyatt helping Hardy at the end of it.

The other Battle Royal featured the women, and this one was very disappointing in my opinion. We sadly did not see a lengthy fight between Bayley and Sasha Banks.

Instead, Naomi was sleeping for the majority of the match and re-entered the ring to blindside Bayley for the victory. I thought this was cheap and robbed us of seeing Bayley and Sasha Banks more.

The best pre-show match by far was the cruiserweight title match between Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali. It was an athletic showcase but Alexander won in the end in what was a great match from the two best friends.

The main show was a mixed bag as I enjoyed the first part of the show, but the second half had a huge nosedive. Let's first talk about the matches that were average at best.

The Bludgeon Brothers won the Smackdown Tag Titles against The New Day and The Usos in a short and average contest. Likewise Jinder Mahal won the US Title in another so-so effort against Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Rusev.

Nia Jax pretty much squashed Alexa Bliss to win the Raw Women's title in an okay match. It's cool to see Nia Jax finally get a big win, although the match itself was nothing to be excited about.

Braun Strowman's partner ended up being a kid from the crowd named Nicholas. Strowman pretty much beat Cesaro and Sheamus by himself to win the Raw Tag Team titles.

The biggest surprise of the night was The Undertaker vs John Cena match. Many people have been dreaming of this match for years, but sadly it ended up being a short squash match.

Surprisingly, The Undertaker managed to beat John Cena in less than 3 minutes! All he did was a chokeslam and one tombstone to finish Cena.

I'm glad Undertaker won, but I was hoping the match would have been longer and more competitive.

The best main championship match of WrestleMania 34 was Charlotte vs Asuka by far. Both ladies hit some cool looking moves and it was competitive throughout.

However, the finish of the match might be controversial for some people though. Asuka lost her winning streak when she tapped out to Charlotte's Figure-8 special move.

I'm actually glad Asuka finally lost a match as it would have been too predictable if Asuka kept winning all of the time. Now her matches won't be so predictable on the future with her loss to Charlotte.

Another great match was Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. It was slow at the start, but things picked up once Bryan came into the ring.

Bryan won the match for his team by putting Zayn in a Yes Lock. The crowd was on fire doing the YES chants throughout the entire match.

My second favorite match was the opener featuring The Miz, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. All three men did well as the match was fast and entertaining.

At the end though, Rollins did the Stomp on both Balor and The Miz to win the Intercontinental title. Rollins is now a Grand Slam champion.

The best match of the night by far was Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Ronda Rousey was my MVP of the night as she was able to make her first wrestling match look really good.

The tag match was unpredictable and exciting thanks to the efforts of everyone in this match. It's by far the best mixed tag match I have ever seen.

Ronda won in the end by doing an armbar on Stephanie for the victory. I'm glad Rousey is now a WWE Superstar because she felt right at home inside the ring.

Sadly, the show ended on a very sour note because the WWE Title and Universal Title matches were underwhelming and very disappointing. Both matches were just bad.

AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura could have been great, but it was slow and boring for the most of it. Not to mention Styles won with only one Styles Clash to win the boring contest.

The only thing cool about the match is what happened after it. Nakamura turned heel on Styles by punching him below the belt.

As for Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar, this was a horrible match because they just spammed the same moves over and over again. Lesnar kicked out of the spear four times.

As for Reigns, he kicked out of FIVE F-5s. It was the sixth and final F-5 that finally made Reigns lose meaning Lesnar is still the Universal Champion!

Overall, WrestleMania 34 had its moments but it was not a great PPV thanks to some of the disappointing matches. Ronda Rousey was great, but the main event matches ruined what could have been a great PPV.

Verdict: 6.5/10
