Generations of WWE fans have their idols whether it's The Rock or Hulk Hogan. One of the newer idols John Cena, recently visited the Ellen Show to talk about his new shoulder, Tic Tac addiction and joy for helping others.

DeGeneres heard that Cena came back pretty quickly from a severe injury. He told the host that he had a completely rebuilt shoulder. He had a muscle torn off and bones worn down to the nub.

He was told by doctors that he would not be able to return to wrestling any sooner than nine months.

Cena said he likes being told that he can't do something and it was all the motivation he needed to put him back in the ring in just three months.

DeGeneres and the audience applauded the comeback before she asked him about his ritual before the shows. Cena says that about two hours before the show, he starts hitting the Tic Tacs pretty hard. He estimates that he goes through 2-5 boxes of Tic Tacs and it's mostly dependent on the stress of the situation. He says it's not a college keg party he does have a little control.

Cena holds the record for making the most wishes come true with 500 wishes for the Make A Wish Foundation. Cena says he thinks that he and DeGeneres come from the same DNA because he looks at her making her audience happy and that's what the Make A Wish Charity does.

He says he has the luxury of putting smiles on the faces of families who don't get to.

He says he will continue to make wishes come true as long as the foundation has him. You can watch John Cena's interview with DeGeneres in the video below.
