Former WWE Cruiserweight Rich Swann has been released by the WWE earlier today. Unlike recent releases, this was actually a mutual agreement between both parties.

WWE.com made the announcement today. You can read their very short statement about the topic down below.

Rich Swann and WWE have mutually agreed to part ways as of today, February 15, 2018. WWE wishes Swann the best in all of his future endeavors.

Swann was accused of abusing his wife and WWE suspended him until further notice. Swann was actually cleared all charges recently, although WWE chose not to bring him back into the wrestling ring.

It sounds like Swann felt uncomfortable coming back after all of the negative headlines he faced over the domestic violence incident.

Not to mention WWE may not want the unwanted publicity surrounding Swann since the company already fired Enzo Amore who was recently called out for sexual abuse.

Swann was one of the more popular wrestlers in the Cruiserweight Division thanks to his high flying moves and happy persona. However, it seems like Swann wanted to leave in order to sort things out.

Whether or not Swann is able to come back in the WWE in the far future remains to be seen.

The Cruiserweight Division has somewhat been cursed as past champions Enzo Amore and Neville have also parted ways with the company.

Neville is actually still employed, but he's just waiting until his contract expires so he can get better opportunities elsewhere. Neville voluntarily chose to sit at home due to being unhappy with his recent booking directions.

Fans don't have to worry too much about the state of 205 Live since Triple H has overtaken the show and is making the Cruiserweight Division much better than it was a few months ago.
