Why Does It Take Trump 17 Minutes To Write One Sentence?

It has never been argued that Donald Trump is a genius.

From misspelling a fifth grade level word ("unpresidented [sic]") to whatever this means: "we're losing jobs like a bunch of babies," he's set the bar at a pretty low level.

This morning, he returned fire at civil rights icon John Lewis, who called him "illegitimate" last night. Taking to his favorite medium of communication, Twitter, he said, "Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to......mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results.

All talk, talk, talk - no action or results. Sad!"

Sounds like just another Trump tweet. There is something interesting about this set of tweets, but it's not what he said -- it's how long it took him to say it.

If you look at Trump's tweets, each 140-character sentence/phrase takes several minutes to complete. For instance, look at these:

Note the timestamps: the first one was posted at 4:50AM PT, and the second one was posted at 5:07 PT. It took him 17 minutes to complete his sentence. That's nearly a minute for every word! (And that does deserve an exclamation point.)

But it's not only that set of tweets. Look at these:

If you look through Trump's Twitter feed, you'll find dozens of examples where Trump takes several minutes to complete a sentence. And given that, it's unlikely that he got sidetracked by something else every time.

While we want our politicians to think before they speak, it's hard to explain how it could take him 17 minutes to complete a sentence that he already started.

If he had thought out what he was going to say before he tweeted, he wouldn't have had to stop mid-sentence. If he didn't (and from reading Trump's tweets, if definitely looks like he didn't) what explains the timestamps?
