What's Happening To WikiLeaks? CIA Threatens 'Private Intelligence Service,' Things Heat Up

What's going on with WikiLeaks?

After weeks of mostly laying low following the widely reported #Vault7 document dump, WikiLeaks is suddenly coming alive again, leading many to wonder if something strange is going on...

Today, CIA Director under Donald Trump, Mike Pompeo, made a new line of threats against WikiLeaks. According to Pompeo, WikiLeaks acts as its own private intelligence service whose main purpose is to essentially destroy the United States:

As long as they make a splash, they care nothing about the lives they put at risk for the damage they cause to national security. WikiLeaks walks like a hostile intelligence service, talks like hostile intelligence service and has encouraged its followers to find jobs at the CIA in order to obtain intelligence... It's time to call out WikiLeaks for what it is: a nonstate hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia.

I'm quite confident that had Assange been around in the 30s and 40s and 50s, he would have found himself on the wrong side of history... Their currency is click-bait but their moral compass nonexistent their mission personal self-aggrandizement through the destruction of Western values...

The damage they've done to the security and safety of the free world is tangible...

According to WikiLeaks, Pompeo went on to say that he would 'silence' the organization, and ensure that First Amendment protections are taken from them. You can watch a clip of Pompeo's remarks here:

WikiLeaks appears to be concerned about the statements, and they are taking the threat seriously. In fact, they are asking for support from the public in order to fight this threat.

There's something of an irony in Pompeo's remarks, given that he was promoting WikiLeaks' releases of Hillary Clinton-related material during the elections.
