As everyone who follows sports or news knows by now Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has been indicted in Texas for child abuse.

The star player was deactivated by his team for its game against the New England Patriots on Sunday but has been reinstated pending the resolution of the case.

Being deactivated means he was not allowed to play but was still paid for the game.

The National Football League has not taken any action in the case but is under pressure to suspend Peterson after it only gave former Baltimore Raven Ray Rice a two game suspension after he admitted to hitting his wife.

A video, which the NFL claims it's commissioner Roger Goodelll had not seen shows Rice knocking his wife out in an elevator and then kicking her prone body.

Peterson has said he was only disciplining his child in the fashion he was disciplined as a kid. He admits to hitting his kid, but does not consider it abuse.

The state of Texas, not exactly a liberal state, does not agree and had brought him up on charges.
