During the production of The Fate of the Furious, there was a rumored rivalry between Vin Diesel and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

The Rock claimed last year that Vin Diesel was acting like a 'diva' on the set of the movie and wasn't pulling his weight. Vin Diesel has now addressed his beef with the famous actor.

Vin Diesel seems to be downplaying his rivalry with The Rock during a recent interview with USA Today.

He seems to say that the two are still close and that everything was blown out of proportion. You can read his comments below.

I don't think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way. I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don't think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he's Uncle Dwayne

He then goes on to say that he has protected Dwayne and that he's treated like a big brother.

He even says that Dwayne should appreciate the way that he has protected him since joining the Fast & Furious franchise.

As for right now though, the two actors have been kept apart during the marketing for The Fate of the Furious.

The Vin Diesel vs. The Rock rivalry is an interesting one since The Rock has rarely gotten himself involved with real-life drama.

Many people even speculated that the rivalry is all a publicity stunt that would lead into a future WWE storyline.

It was rumored something would have gone down during WrestleMania 33, but nothing happened. The Rock was too busy to even make an appearance at WrestleMania 33 this year.

It's possible the two really do have some type of beef with one another, but they will eventually apologize. Personally I don't see The Rock as the type of person that likes to keep a grudge.
