William Shatner--the former Captain Kirk--was on the Howard Stern Show Tuesday morning, and Howard Stern gave listeners a taste of the typical questions he might be asked by fans at Comic Con.

The Stern Show sent a reporter to Comic Con to record questions they would ask William Shatner. "There was such f***ing weirdos," Stern said. "I said, no wonder Bill f***ing hates his fans."

The first masked fan asks: "Hello Shatner, this is Solaire of Astora. I'm wondering if you praise the sun as much as I do. I'd very much like to know."

"What's wrong with praising the sun?" Shatner joked. "These are people looking for publicity. They're science fiction fans."

"Listen to this one, see if you even know what he's talking about," Stern said.

Another fan asked: "Hi Mr. Shatner, I was wondering, in Episode 17: The Squire of Gothams, Why was there a geophysicist [undecipherable] chosen by Spock to assist [???] and Lieutenant [???] in their landing party on the rogue planet?"

"Well, the answer to that is because they have a flatulence problem," Shatner said.

In reality, Shatner says something like "I don't really know, what do you think?" and tries to have a discourse with fans. While he's a Star Trek character, he's not a diehard Trekkie himself.
