Paramount Pictures has released the third (and supposedly) final trailer for Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight.

This new trailer gives us more insight as to why Optimus Prime has "turned" bad and it also shows us many of the trademarks of a Michael Bay movie.

Without giving spoilers, Optimus Prime is being manipulated by what looks like a Quintesson.

If you watched the original TV show, you will know that they are the race of advanced beings that created the Transformers in the first place.

Optimus Prime is obeying his "maker" and is dead set on destroying the Earth in order to save his own home.

It appears the history between the humans on Earth and the Transformers have been going on for many years.

It looks like this new movie will show scenes of the Medieval Times when King Arthur was still alive. The full movie will probably explain to us how all of these pieces fit together.

Anyway, Hollywood continues to dish out movies where the heroes now have to fight one another.

The Fate of the Furious and Thor: Ragnorok are two other 2017 movies doing the same thing. This follows the 2016 movies of Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

If you loved the previous Transformer films, there is a lot to be excited about in this new trailer. The movie will have a lot of slow motion effects as well as many explosions and big action sequences.

The last movie in the franchise was nearly three hours long, so it's possible this movie could be around a similar length. Michael Bay usually likes to make films that are around two and a half hours long or more.
